So here you are a random update:
I have discovered two things in the past two days (one brought to my attention by a co-worker and the other by NME), both on youtube, both having to do with birds. So, here you go and please enjoy:
The first is a music video by a Swedish alt-folk band called Wildbirds & Peacedrums. It's a very beautiful song performed live and acoustically in a gazebo somewhere is Sweden. It looks like the just showed up, set up, and went with it: no crowd, not editing, just two people playing a lovely song on a gray day with solely percussive instruments. Enjoy:
The second clips is far more, how do you say...badass. It involves a golden eagle (the bad mothers that Mongolians hunt with) straight fucking up a goat. I don't want to give away too much, but the bird goes in son. The first two minutes are essential viewing, the rest are additional fun. But if you don't have time, the intial 120 seconds are for you.
As an added bonus, the video has some incredibly surreal Peter-and-the-Wolf-on-a-bad-Acid-Trip music, accented by Kung Fu movie gong splashes, and a portentious voice over...in Spanish! Enjoy:

I really liked these clips. especially the singing/ percussion video (is she playing the spoons?) But both of these video have nothing to do with Japan. I think you need to rename the blog-"stuff that I find on the internet that amuses me that may or may not be from Japan" is my preposed title. it might need some tweaking.
