Kanye West Sued by Suge Knight
Once feared-- but now just sort of pathetic-- rap mogul Suge Knight has sued Kanye West over an incident that occurred more than three years ago. According to TMZ.com, Knight's suit-- filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Los Angeles on October 30-- blames West for what happened to Knight at a party West held at Miami's Shore Club before the 2005 MTV VMAs. At the party, Knight was shot in the leg and lost a diamond earring that TMZ reports was worth $135,000.According to TMZ, Knight claims the gunshot and the alleged robbery were results of West allowing "an unknown person" to smuggle a gun past the party's security. This person shot Knight in his upper right leg and shattered a bone, and in the midst of it all, Knight lost his earring. The lawsuit against West aims to recoup the costs of Knight's "bullet wound-related expenses" and "damages for the loss of use and enjoyment of the earring."
Note to Suge: Suing the dude who hosted a party where you were involved in some violence, as you seem to be more often than not, is weak sauce.
The weakest part of this whole ordeal may be the fact that even though Knight recently filed for bankruptcy, "he's worked out a deal with the Court that will allow him to keep a percentage of any dough he collects from the suit," according to TMZ.
