11 men arrested in record porn DVD bust
TOKYO —
Police on Monday arrested 11 men for illegal possession of pornographic DVDs. Police impounded 126,000 porn DVDs, including child porn, copying devices, and lists of 120,000 individual clients. Police said it was the biggest ever such seizure of pornographic materials in Japan.
Takahiro Oyama, 53, and 10 other men were arrested during a raid on an apartment in Itabashi on July 12. Police said the suspects made 1.5 billion yen in the past five years by selling the DVDs on the Internet and via mail order.
